Orb weavers will live anywhere with an ample food supply and structures that will support a web – they are commonly found near light fixtures used during evening hours, on tree branches, tall grasses, and bushes. They are most noticeable in late summer into fall. Orb weavers are a non-aggressive spiders that will avoid threats and danger. Orb weavers are typically nocturnal. During the day, they prefer to remain completely still in their web or close by in leaves or tall grass.
