David's House: Care & Share Week 2020

This holiday season, JP Pest Services is proud to support the loving staff of David’s House with a $1,000 donation to their mission to keep families together while their child, brother, or sister is being cared for at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. 

Founded in 1986, this organization was the dream of a young boy named David, who passed away at five years old after a 3-and-a-half year battle with acute lymphocytic leukemia. During this time, though they were fortunate enough to live within easy driving distance to the hospital, they met many other families from around the country and the world who traveled long distances to receive care at this facility. While battling his own illness, he never stopped requesting that his parents let the families of his friends at the hospital come home with them, so that they didn’t have to continue sleeping in their cars when they couldn’t afford a hotel room.

Only two years after David’s passing, “David’s House” opened their doors. To date, they have served over 15,000 families, literally giving them a “home away from home” during an extremely trying time in any family’s life.
